Last chance to email the Government about fracking under National Parks
Email Amber Rudd Secretary of State for Energy and Climate Change now, before the government makes its final decision on fracking in National Parks!
Back in autumn last year we launched a campaign with the RSPB, CPRE and The Wildlife Trusts encouraging people to email Amber Rudd, saying why protected areas should be excluded from fracking. Thanks to pressure put on by people like you, the Government committed to not allowing fracking on the surface of National Parks.
However, we were very disappointed that the Government suddenly voted in December to allow fracking under the surface of National Parks and other AONBs. Find out more about this here.
We are calling on you to tell Amber Rudd MP that fracking underneath National Parks will damage Britain’s beautiful breathing spaces and cannot be allowed to go ahead. We must keep on the pressure before the Government publishes their final response later on in the New Year.
