Hi, I'm Ashley and I live on the outskirts of London but have always had a keen interest in wildlife and the outdoors. Through working with Surrey Wildlife Trust as a volunteer, intern and Youth Action Committee member I developed an interest and understanding of the importance of public engagement which has led me to combining another interest of mine Wildlife Photography and Wildlife Filmmaking sharing my love of Wildlife and my story of accessing the natural world.

What was the inspiration behind your project?

“My passion for wildlife and the outdoors makes me want to protect it and encourage others to want to help it, but I also want to show people that being disabled doesn’t have to stop people from accessing wildlife experiences.”

What do National Parks mean to you?

“Being away from the city, immersed in the outdoors around wildlife, is my happy place, and national parks are some of the best places for that. They are places of wonder and adventure that can transport you away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Our national parks have some extraordinary wildlife, and the feeling you can get from seeing these incredible creatures can brighten up any day.”

Are you the future of National Parks?

Right now we have a once in a generation opportunity to change how National Parks operate. It’s essential that future generations are part of it.

Will you help us shape the future of National Parks?
