Peak District Mosaic – Trustee Opportunities

  • Contributor information: CNP

Peak District Mosaic is a small charity  passionate about providing opportunities for people from Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic communities to engage with the National Park. Campaign for National Parks has been a proud supporter since establishing the Mosaic project over a decade ago. Today, Peak District Mosaic is looking for new trustees – Yvonne Witter, Chair of Peak District Mosaic, explains more.

Having recently received funding from the National Lottery Heritage Fund for the new project Championing National Parks for Everyone, Peak District Mosaic are undergoing an exciting period of development.

We’re looking for new trustees to bring knowledge and expertise to the direction of Peak District Mosaic’s operations and activities, which make a positive difference to the lives of people involved. We want to hear from anyone who feels they would make a good trustee and anybody with expertise in finance or experience of supporting the Chair, as a Treasurer and Vice-Chair are also needed.

We are expanding our work in partnership with the Yorkshire Dales, North York Moors and Peak District National Parks so we are interested to receive applications from people with lived experience living in those National Parks or areas near to them, including Greater Manchester, Bradford, Leeds, Middlesbrough and South Yorkshire.

You don’t have to have been a trustee before but you do have to be passionate about the outdoor environment and enjoy working with people. We welcome applications from people who have lived experience, with an understanding of working with Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic communities. We value life experience, volunteering, community involvement and personal passion as much as work-based knowledge and skills.

We work closely with National Park rangers, other groups and voluntary organisations so there is always something interesting happening.  Our aim is to organise visits and activities that are fun but also develop knowledge, skills, new friendships and an appreciation for National Parks.

To apply for the trustee volunteer roles at Peak District Mosaic, people should first read the vacancy documents and role descriptions at then apply by sending a CV and covering letter to

The closing date for applications is 5pm on Friday, 24 February 2023.
