Poetic Celebration of National Parks

The Council for National Parks (CNP) [1] will celebrate the National Parks of Wales in poetry at the countryside area [2] of the National Eisteddfod in Llanelli on Wednesday 9 August at 1pm – 2pm.
Leading the event will be:
Dei Tomos, CNP’s Vice President and prominent broadcaster in Wales
Merfyn Williams, CNP’s Vice Chair for Wales and the author of the official guidebook to Snowdonia
Musical accompaniment will be provided by Rhodri Evans of the Snowdonia Society.
"The rich cultures, industrial heritage and breathtaking landscapes of our National Parks have inspired beautiful poetry" said Sylvia Davies, CNP’s Campaigns Officer in Wales. "The Eisteddfod is the perfect place to celebrate the importance of National Parks in Welsh life through Welsh poetry. CNP welcomes everyone to come along and enjoy the celebration".
The event is free to Eisteddfod ticket holders and light refreshments will be available.
