We're recruiting: Mosaic Project Officer for Exmoor

We are seeking a new Project Officer to deliver our Mosaic Youth project.  The Mosaic Youth project aims to improve the lives of 16-25 year olds facing social and economic exclusion through engagement with National Parks and the outdoor environment. 

You will deliver challenging project outcomes to young pople in partnership with the Exmoor National Park Authority.  You will use your knowledge of the youth sector in and around the Exmoor National Park to recruit and support young people who will gain skills and confidence through the project and introduce Exmoor to their peers.

To succeed you will have deep understanding of issues around working  with young people facing social and economic exclusion. You will have good links with groups working with young people in and around the edges of the Exmoor National Park. You will be adept at building strong working relationships with a wide range of people and comfortable networking and influencing at a senior level. You will have experience of supporting others to take forward their own goals and have excellent training and mentoring skills. This post is part of a team of five Project Officers based in different parts of England and will report to the Mosaic Project Manager, based on Exmoor. The Exmoor National Park Authority will provide support and day-to-day supervision.

The Mosaic youth project is just beginning it’s third year of implementation and since its start in April 2013 has made strong achievements in recruiting and supporting a group of young Champions, who are active in promoting the Exmoor National Park to peers.
