Ruth Chambers, Deputy Chief Exec and Head of Policy
"I am helping with the competition to decide 12 areas for improving nature in England as I sit on the government judging panel for this. I am looking forward to the National Park Societies annual conference on Exmoor, and to a fact finding visit to the Orton Fells, which we hope will be included within the Yorkshire Dales National Park boundary in the future."
Jim Bull, Finance & Office Manager
"Coming up to another busy time of year – lots of meetings, events, training courses. Two new members of staff to deal with as well. Somewhere in there, there must be space for a holiday!"

"I am currently leading our work on the value of National Parks as we aim to promote all the amazing benefits that National Parks bring.
Nina Arwitz, Mosaic Programme Manager
"Our Mosaic project, which aims to engage ethnic minorities with National Parks, is now in its third and final year, so we are working on how to make sure our brilliant volunteer Community Champions continue promoting the National Parks long after the project ends. I’m also very excited that we’ve recently been awarded funding to bring the Mosaic project to Wales, and I’m working on getting that project started in early 2012."

Clare Taylor, Mosaic Project Officer
"Currently I am focused on working with the Champions team and the three National Parks to firm up links between them, support Champion involvement in strategic and organisational development in the Parks, helping Champions to secure funding and support for their visits to National Parks. New Champions are welcome but don’t delay getting in touch, we’ve only a few months to go!"

Kabeer Bostan, Mosaic Project Officer
"My focus is on meeting volunteer co-ordinators and looking at the support that will be in place for community champions once Mosaic comes to an end. I’m also recruiting a few more champions in Preston, Newcastle and Middlesbrough and organising group visits between now and October. With it being the end of the quarter, it’s time to try and catch up with the 70+ champions and find out what they’ve been up to over the summer months."

Sarah Wilson, Mosaic Project Officer
"I’m working with a growing number of South Downs Community Champions, the South Downs National Park Authority and the South Downs Society. In this last phase of Mosaic, we’re focusing on how Champions can continue to promote the South Downs and how the National Park Authority and Champions will work together long after the project ends. I’m also supporting Champions to organise all sorts of visits and events across the South Downs."
