New funding to open up Welsh National Parks

We are celebrating the news that we have been awarded funding to further open up Welsh National Parks to people from black and minority ethnic communities.
The funding will allow CNP to build important new links between urban minority communities and rural communities in National Parks.
Helen Jackson, our chief executive, welcomed the news by saying “This funding will open up National Parks to people who have never experienced the breath-taking beauty and diversity of wildlife, or felt that the activities and cultural heritage of these majestic landscapes were available to them. National Parks were set up to make sure these landscapes were always accessible to everyone, and in our 75th anniversary year it’s particularly rewarding to get the chance to deliver that founding principle in a very practical way.”
The project will build on the work of our ground-breaking Mosaic project, which has been running in England and the Brecon Beacons in Wales over the last ten years.
