A walk in the South Downs
!
Please join us for a celebratory walk with our President Ben Fogle in the beautiful South Downs on Saturday 17 October 2009.
We will be walking along the River Arun then up onto the Downs, taking in the historic North Stoke suspension footbridge that was restored by the Gurkhas earlier this summer. The 5½ mile walk is easy to moderate, and will be led by Peter Harris of the South Downs Society.
Meet: Amberley railway station at 11.15am (Victoria train arrives at 10.57am) map ref TQ 026118. There is also car parking available in the adjacent Amberley Museum car park.
Lunch: At The Bridge Inn (close to the station) back in Amberley, or bring your own and join us for refreshments.
Please contact Liz Wall on 020 7924 4077 ext 223 or email to book a place, to book lunch or to request a car parking space.
Everyone is welcome – please bring your friends and family too!
