The Mosaic Partnership
Mosaic is a 3½ year project which aims to develop a long term and active engagement between Black and Minority Ethnic (BME) groups and National Parks.
Recent research has suggested that countryside service providers across the UK see the BME community as their most under-represented group of service users.Mosaic's starting point has been to raise awareness of the special qualities of National Parks amongst these communities and thus encourage more visiting. Just as importantly though, the project seeks to influence a step-change in the culture, structures and service provision of the partner organisations so that they become more inclusive and representative.
Managed by the Campaign for National Parks, the Mosaic Partnership comprises four National Park Authorities (the Peak District, Yorkshire Dales, Brecon Beacons & North York Moors) and the YHA.
