Giving talks on National Parks

Are you interested in having someone talk to your local group or society about National Parks?  The Campaign for National Parks has a panel of voluntary speakers who are willing and ready to talk to any kind of local community group in England and Wales.  Speakers are the public face of CNP and they do a fantastic job of encouraging others to think about National Parks and the benefits they offer.  Their talks are enhanced by the showing of excellent slides, some simply illustrating the beauty and diversity of the Parks, others highlighting the needs and problems that challenge the National Park movement such as quarrying, military training, tourism and energy.

Most CNP speakers will provide the talk for a modest donation towards the work of CNP.  Their experience shows that everywhere in the community, however far from the nearest National Park, many people love the Parks and are concerned for them.

CNP is always keen to recruit more speakers and would welcome enquiries.  We provide all new recruits with briefings, access to slides and the support of a network of expert speakers.

CNP also offers volunteer opportunities for general office administration.

Anyone interested in finding a CNP speaker to address a local meeting or in becoming a speaker is invited to contact information or write to Speakers Service, CNP, 6-7 Barnard Mews, London SW11 1QU.  Alternatively telephone us on 020 7924 4077.  Please note that our speakers are co-ordinated by volunteers, and we will pass your request on to one of them, so you may find that there is a short delay before receiving a response.
