Volunteering Opportunities

Ever wanted an invaluable insight into the world of environmental campaigning?

Do you want to gain a background in the major policy issues affecting our countryside?

If the answer is yes, and you can give an initial commitment of 1-2 days a week for 3 months we'd love to hear from you.

We are looking for well-organised volunteers who are familiar with environmental issues, and who can work with minimal supervision. Skills and experience required:

  • Able to use your initiative and be adaptable and flexible in an often hectic working environment
  • Have good written and presentation skills
  • Competent in MS Word and email/internet skills
  • Environmental first degree

Volunteers would help the policy staff in various areas of work e.g.

  • Research on wide range of National Park issues e.g. mineral extraction, military training, tourism
  • Attracting media coverage for policy news items
  • Maintaining and augmenting picture library
  • Updating databases
  • Help organise events e.g. Parliamentary receptions, seminars, meetings etc

CNP also offers volunteer opportunities for general office administration.
