Volunteering Opportunities
Ever wanted an invaluable insight into the world of environmental campaigning?
Do you want to gain a background in the major policy issues affecting our countryside?
If the answer is yes, and you can give an initial commitment of 1-2 days a week for 3 months we'd love to hear from you.
We are looking for well-organised volunteers who are familiar with environmental issues, and who can work with minimal supervision. Skills and experience required:
- Able to use your initiative and be adaptable and flexible in an often hectic working environment
- Have good written and presentation skills
- Competent in MS Word and email/internet skills
- Environmental first degree
Volunteers would help the policy staff in various areas of work e.g.
- Research on wide range of National Park issues e.g. mineral extraction, military training, tourism
- Attracting media coverage for policy news items
- Maintaining and augmenting picture library
- Updating databases
- Help organise events e.g. Parliamentary receptions, seminars, meetings etc
CNP also offers volunteer opportunities for general office administration.
CNP is currently looking for a volunteer to help convert photographs into slides
