Job vacancy with the Friends of the Peak District/CPRE South Yorkshire

The Friends of the Peak District/CPRE South Yorkshire is currently recruiting for a Communications Officer

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled communications professional to raise the profile of an environmental charity and communicate our activities to our members and supporters, key stakeholders and policy makers. Work in pleasant surroundings with a skilled, committed team to protect the country's most beautiful landscapes.

Friends of the Peak District and CPRE South Yorkshire are the twin brands of the region’s leading environmental charity, the Peak District and South Yorkshire Branch of the Campaign to Protect Rural England.   We work to promote sustainability and beauty in the countryside and  increase the understanding and enjoyment of it by everyone. We have a formidable reputation as a successful environmental campaigner.  

You will need experience of building relationships with the media and of producing high quality publications. With excellent attention to detail, you will be confident working independently, as well as part of a busy team, and have outstanding written and oral communication skills. 

Based in west Sheffield, two miles from Peak District boundary.

28 hours per week
Salary range:  £23,341  £26,271 +  6%pension
