Inspiring Communities ~ National Parks in the 21st Century
2~4 November 2007
Plas y Brenin, Capel Curig, Snowdonia
The stunning surroundings of Plas y Brenin provided the location for the recent National Park Societies’ Conference. The theme ‘Inspiring Communities – National Parks in the 21st Century’ encouraged delegates to think about how to reach out to new audiences and how best to work with local communities. Thought-provoking presentations, in depth discussions and a variety of field trips all contributed to a very successful weekend: the perfect way to celebrate the 40th Anniversary of the Snowdonia Society.
On the final day, delegates listened to stimulating presentations on current and future challenges for the Parks. Adrian Phillips', CNP Vice President, presentation can be found here.
